VFX Supervision / 3D Stereoscopic Boot Camp
The Visual Effects Supervisor Boot Camp
Orlando, Florida ~ April 23rd – 25th
Do you want to boost your knowledge, resume, demo reel and earning potential?
Do you want to learn the techniques that will be in demand for 2010 and beyond — including stereoscopic 3D, working with the Red camera and more?
Welcome to the Visual Effects Supervisor Boot Camp – 3 days of real world , hands on training. AND at the end of it, you walk away with a hard drive full of elements for you to work with.
I wanted to say again how truly inspired I was by your workshop. I watch movies now and view them in an entirely different way. The processes that were taught could clearly not be learned in a better setting.
- Tia Bradford, 2009 VFX Boot Camp Attendee
Here’s some of what you’ll learn…
- The Red One digital camera system
- Ultra high-res stills for HDRI capture and HD video
- 3D Steroscopic techniques including script breakdown and shooting
- Real lighting and grip equipment
- Green screen
- Effects element shoots
- Experienced, professional crew
You’ll learn a little about the different positions on a film set by shadowing our professional crew. You’ll learn not just what the visual effects supervisor does but you’ll learn how a camera department works. You’ll operate the Red One camera. You’ll work as a grip. You’ll yell ‘action’ as a second unit director. You’ll help plan and execute shots.
There’s no better way to learn something than to do it. We’re going to provide a working environment that teaches real techniques but is focused on learning. This is simply invaluable experience that will make the jargon and terminology of a film set real to you. You’ll understand the dynamics of the film set in way that few people will.
I would honestly have to say that the VFX Bootcamp was one of the best experiences I have had. I feel like I received instruction worth 10x’s more than the actual cost. This was NOT a button pushing course in just operating software. They presented a brutally honest viewpoint about what it takes to enter and maintain a career in the VFX business as well as showing us a detailed behind the scenes look at the start of the whole process of the VFX Film Shoot. I would definately recommend this to anyone who is thinking about a career in this business.
- Scott Holt, 2009 VFX Boot Camp Attendee
You’ll also form relationships that will last your entire professional life, forged in the fire that only comes from real production.
Many people spend $50,000 or more and four years of their life on film school and never get his sort of experience. But the The Visual Effects Supervisor’s Boot Camp In Orlando packs it all into one incredible week AND sends you home with materials you’ll be using to create your own unique reel and resume for a long time.
If you wanted to try and recreate the Boot Camp by renting your own camera, location, hiring crew, getting insurance, renting a motion control rig, lighting and grip, stunt people, and experts you’d spend tens of thousands of dollars.
